HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RUN A HEAT PUMP?

At the end of the day it's all about comfort. Generally the more you use your Heat Pump, the more you want to use it.

We  recommend that in colder months, ie: between June and September to leave the Heat Pump running 24/7, and regulate the temperature via the remote control. Customers of ours who have tried this say their winter power bills have never been CHEAPER!

There is a certain way to operate the Heat Pump when running it 24/7.

When leaving home or going to bed, simply turn the heat pump temperature down to 18 deg. It will not let your home's temperature go below this. This can all be set automatically via a 'wall controller' also.

Also remember - just because the Heat Pump is turned on it doesn't mean it is working. If the sun is shining in, warming the room to a level above the temperature set by the remote control, then it won't be heating. But as soon as the temperature falls then it will kick in keeping your home warmed to an acceptable temperature.

An analogy is the hotwater cylinder. It is more cost effective to heat and maintain the temperature of the water than to heat from scratch each time we want it.
