When you first switch on your heat pump, the electronics need to analyze the environment inside and out via the many thermistors.

It can take between 4 – 5 minutes before kicking in. The Heat Pump heating mode is designed not to blow cool air before it is ready to heat. 

It will then start heating and will have the area up to temperature in around 15-20 minutes.
